Our Tokyo-Tomigaya studio offers rental services for letterpress and risograph printing machines. This is recommended for personal projects such as business cards, invitations, zines, and shop cards.

Letterpress Machine Rental
"Proofing machine" rentals for letterpress printing are available. You can print anything from small items like business cards to large sizes like posters.

This service is for those who have taken the "Letterpress Poster Experience" or have experience using the same printing press.

Digital stencil printing "Risograph printer (2-color model)" is available for rent. It is characterized by its unique texture and feel, depending on the compatibility of the ink and paper.

Supported Paper Types and Fees
For paper available for purchase at the studio, please refer to the information below. There are papers that can be used with letterpress printing machines and risograph printing machines, and papers that cannot be brought in, so please check each detail page.

Paper Jogger
This is a paper jogging machine with a V-shaped paper tray and a foot switch. It can handle a wide range of paper thicknesses, from thin to thick. Please refer to the details below for sizes.
・Paper sizes that can be jogged: B6~A3
・Paper thickness that can be jogged: Up to approximately 100mm
・Angle: Variable from 20~80°
Cutter
You can cut printed paper to the desired size in one go. The operation is simple, so even beginners can use it with confidence.
- Cutting thickness: Maximum 60mm
-Cutting depth: 40~450mm
- Cutting width: Maximum 450mm
Saddle stitching machine
It can saddle-stitch documents up to 234 x 318 mm in size. For example, it can handle up to 20 sheets of copy paper. This may vary depending on the thickness of the paper you use, such as thin paper, so please ask a member of staff for details.
Crease machine
Up to 8 lines can be processed at once. Please see below for compatible paper sizes.

Tabletop Corner Rounding Machine
This is a desktop machine capable of corner rounding. It can cut paper up to approximately 30mm in height at a time. There are two types of blades; please refer to the following for details:
・R5mm blade
・R9mm blade
Drilling Machine
This is a stationary electric paper drill. The hole diameter is 5mm, and while the drill bit position is fixed, the depth of the base is 417mm, allowing you to adjust the hole position by moving the paper.
Please do not drill paper thicker than 10mm at a time, as this can overload the machine and cause damage.
(When the base is 417mm, the drill bit is 215mm from the back.)

Printing experience at a cafe
The cafe and shop are combined into one store, so you can relax inside the store before and after your experience. There are tables available for you to use on the terrace on the first floor, and indoors on the first and third floors.
On the second floor, Tomigaya Letterpress products are on display, and books on the shelves on the wall are also available for use.
In addition to coffee, baked goods, and cakes, we also sell donuts every Friday only. Please refer to the link below for directions to the store. We look forward to your visit.
